The DrayTek VigorFly 210 is an IPv6 ready Wi-Fi router for residential
users and  remote offices / teleworkers. It offers the utmost connection
flexibility for users to choose either fixed line or 3G/4G (LTE or
WiMAX) via the USB port as the primary WAN connection and another as the
backup. That lets users get the connection types based on the best
availability and lowest cost in their local area. Moreover, DrayTeks'
VigorFly 210 works with IPv6 environment which significantly reduces the
total cost of ownership (TCO) when the IP infrastructure moves to the
new era. Users can get DrayTeks' Web Content Filter if they want to
enable parental controls.Â
DrayTeks' VigorFly 210 is IPv6 ready.
With shrinking IP allocation of the IPv4 network, DrayTek has
deployed an IPv4 / IPv6 co-exist mechanism so your applications will
be available for most IPv4 network. The dual stack operation and "v4
to v6 tunneling" of IPv6 implementation on the VigorFly 210 is a
seamless transition. The local connectivity is established through
the Fast Ethernet and / or embedded IEEE802.11n wireless access
point. The Fast Ethernet can connect computers and switches on UTP
cable. At home or office, it's very easy for users to enable a
wireless connection. The integrated with IEEE 802.11n WLAN network
which offers users stable and reliable wireless connections for high
speed multimedia and data traffic by means of WMM (WiFi
Multimedia).Â
Â
In addition to traditional wireless
features, the DrayTek VigorFly 210 offers some interesting features
which are not normally available on similar products'. One of is the
possibility to define up to three separate virtual access points,
each one with its own SSID and specific security parameters. In this
way for example, it's possible to create temporary profiles for the
access of guests, without the need to use your regular access
network's password. A fourth SSID can be activated by enabling the
Universal Repeater mode, which basically configures the VigorFly as
a WDS (Wireless Distributed System): This DrayTek device can use the
Wi-Fi module as client to an existing wireless network, or as access
point for the connection of new clients. This is a quick way to
extend the WiFi signal range, although the available bandwidth on
the wireless network is halved.Â
Â
The DoS / DDoS attack prevention, SPI,
Port-redirection, open port, and MAC address filter strengthens the
security outside and inside the network. The Setup Wizard of DrayTek
VigorFly 210 offers you to activate trial of the Commtouch
GlobalView Web Content Filter (WCF) via the DrayTek MyVigor service
portal. Anytime during the trial or once the trial is over, you can
purchase an annual license key of WCF from DSL-Warehouse.com. On the
DrayTek MyVigor service portal, the free-of-charge BPjM WCF is also
available. In compliance with legislative framework of providing
appropriate assurance to audiences on standards in the world, child
online protection has been being with DrayTek's dedication through
proper filtering and blocking technologies.
